Best hotels in Courchevel

Courchevel, located in the heart of the Vanoise National Park, is one of the most exclusive ski resorts in the world. It owes its reputation to the first-class Courchevel 1850, the most expensive of the four resorts, with an abundance of chic hotels, gourmet restaurants, luxury brand boutiques and chic chalets. The ski resort of Trois Vallées offers an almost endless selection of slopes for all levels and types of winter sports.

Courchevel’s best family hotel — L’Apogée Courchevel

L’Apogée is a luxurious and extravagant hotel created by the Oetkers family.

Guests of this five-star hotel do not need to go to the ski lifts in the morning, they have direct private access to the slopes — they get out and roll right away.

The hotel has 53 rooms decorat ed in a classic Alpine style, one penthouse and two chalets for those who are relaxing in a big company.

The hotel has a SPA-center La Prairie. And for little guests, two children’s clubs work at once. One is for toddlers from 4 to 11 years old, and the other is for older children from 11 to 15 years old.

There is a cigar room, L’Apogee Courchevel bar, and two restaurants — French Le Comptoir de L’Apogee and Japanese Koori. You can also arrange for yourself an unusual gastronomic trip with chef Jean-Luc Lefrancois: he will go skiing with you to the mountains and prepare an amazingly delicious lunch there.

In 2019, L’Apogee Courchevel received the title of Palace.

The hotel is only a few years old — until 2006, this site was the site of the less remarkable hotel-restaurant La Caravelle. French businessman Bernard Arnault, who spent his skiing vacation in Courchevel, was fascinated by the beauty of the alpine landscapes, admired the quality of the ski slopes and the developed infrastructure of the resort. He bought the hotel, demolished it to the ground and built a stylish new upscale hotel that had already earned an excellent reputation in Courchevel. In 2011 this establishment received the prestigious «‎palace» category for its luxury and high level of service.

The hotel’s gastronomic life is represented by two high-quality gourmet restaurants: the cozy Le White with local seasonal dishes and a spacious wine cellar and the magnificent Le 1947, awarded two Michelin stars for the innovative ideas of the culinary genius Yannick Alléno. Cheval Blanc has a sophisticated bar with leather armchairs and a fireplace. Alternatively, guests can relax in the elegant Cigar Lounge.

Cheval Blanc Courchevel Palace is next to the ski slope and the nearby ski lift, making this hotel an excellent base for exploring the world’s largest ski area, the Three Valleys.

Courchevel’s best hotel for large companies — Perce Neige

The spacious and well-equipped Chalet Perce Neige is located near the center of Courchevel 1850. The living rooms have various recreation areas: from a modern home theater to a fireplace room with cozy furniture in pastel colors. The creators of Perce Neige are justly proud of the beauty and health center with a swimming pool, jacuzzi and a hammam sauna. Here you will immerse yourself in a pleasant atmosphere of relaxation after a long day on the slopes. Another jacuzzi awaits guests behind the house, surrounded by views of the pine-covered slopes.

Perce Neige is on the slope of the Cospilot with the lift of the same name. The adjacent Pralong chairlift will take you to the Super Pralong and Pralong slopes that skirted the extreme steep runway at Courchevel Airport. Red and black trails run through the center of the resort, which is only 1.3 km away. Especially picturesque is the descent of Bouc Blanc, which leads through the forest to La Tania 1400 station.

Courchevel’s best hotel for romantic evenings — Eglantier

The spacious living room of the Eglantier features a fireplace and panoramic views of the mountain peaks. After active descents on the slopes of Courchevel, you will appreciate the relaxing jacuzzi on the terrace. For those who love to swim and warm up, there is a pool and hamam on the ground floor of the house.

Eglantier guests have access to all the pleasures of Courchevel 1850, which is just 500 meters from the center. The main sports and entertainment center of the Forum resort and several ski schools are literally 5 minutes’ walk away. There are green, blue and red runs close to the chalet. For an intermediate level of skiing, the Pralong and Cospilot tracks are suitable. For those who love difficult slopes, we recommend taking the Vizelle gondola to the Creux and Marmottes slopes. These slopes are considered to be one of the most beautiful and are great for freeriding. Extremists will also love the Grand Couloir black trail, which descends to the center of the resort from Saulire station at an altitude of 2738 m.
