Alpine Resort Cristallo, a Luxury Resort & Spa

One of the oldest hotels in Italy, Cristallo, a Luxury Resort & Spa celebrated its 120th anniversary this year and became the eighth of the thirty best resorts in Europe according to the Conde Nast Traveler. On December 18, a new winter season started at the hotel.

Cristallo, a Luxury Resort & Spa is located in the Italian town of Cortina d’Ampezzo in the Dolomites. Those who like beautiful and active winter holidays strive to get here. Each of the 74 rooms of the five-story hotel enthralls with views of the valley and mountains. The hotel’s exclusive suites are named after the greats of the 20th century who stayed here: Leo Tolstoy, Gabriel D’Annunzio, Duke Amedeo d’Aosta, Vladimir Nabokov, Frank Sinatra and others.

The old building underlines the noble age of the hotel. The interior is made in light pastel colors. The uniqueness and coziness of the hotel’s spaces, including the rooms, the pool, the halls and the veranda of the restaurant, are added by handmade decorations and frescoes.

The resort’s location in the picturesque Dolomites allows guests of Cristallo, a Luxury Resort & Spa to choose from five ski areas. The length of ski slopes of varying difficulty is 140 kilometers, and you can get to the slope by lift or by bus. Also, lovers of active leisure can try cross-country skiing and the Olympic springboard.
