NATALIIA ZBAHERSKA: I give children and their parents a unique menu for health, weight loss, and a happy future

Nutritionist Nataliia Zbaherska creates the magic of healthy eating for the whole family. Thanks to her, children are well-fed and healthy, while their mothers are radiant, calm, and attractive. She knows how to help even when doctors cannot identify the problem. She possesses the secrets of a diet that supports both inner and outer beauty — without exhausting workouts, strict diets, or negative emotions. And she proves the effectiveness of her method on herself and her loved ones.

Natalia, how did you realize that your calling is to help children and their parents eat properly?

I’ve come a long way toward the art of healthy nutrition. And now I understand: every stage of my professional and personal life has contributed to the quality of what I do today — it’s the experience that builds my expertise.

Since early childhood, I dreamed of becoming a pediatrician. And those were not just the fantasies of a little girl. Imagine — I had my own laboratory! (smiles) My mother worked as a midwife and would bring me test tubes and syringes from work — the reusable kind. I helped sterilize them in proper containers. I still remember it clearly. Everything was serious: I had 28 “patients,” each with their own record card made from a school notebook. Oh, how my mother scolded me for using those notebooks for the wrong purpose — during the times of total Soviet scarcity! (laughs) But even back then, I had a systematic and individual approach to every “patient,” with a deep analysis of each case.

In high school, my mother taught me how to give injections. And to this day, I still successfully do them for my family and loved ones.

I graduated from school with a silver medal because I had only one “four” (B) — in Russian language. Perhaps today, that’s something to be proud of (smiles). My mother was against me going into medicine professionally because she knew firsthand how difficult that work was.

I graduated from the National University of Water and Environmental Engineering in my hometown, Rivne, with a qualification as an “engineer-economist” in the specialty “Economics of Enterprise.”

Then came postgraduate studies and my dissertation. Fifteen years at the university — I ended my academic career as an associate professor in the department. After that, I helped my husband build his business — naturally, from a scientific and economic point of view (smiles).

Now, I’m actually grateful to my mother that I didn’t become a doctor. It allowed me to avoid medical conservatism and gave me the opportunity to truly feel the desire to help people be healthy.

My experience as a marketer came in handy when I started developing my blog. Defending my dissertation taught me scientific thinking and a research-oriented worldview, which now helps me draw accurate conclusions about my clients’ conditions. Teaching at the university, writing a monograph, a textbook, courses, dozens of lectures, articles, and methodological materials, being a member of state committees, and reviewing dissertations — all this helped me build strong communication skills and the ability to clearly explain the importance of a balanced diet. Managing my own business taught me structure, responsibility, and how to build an effective team.

By the way, I later compensated for the lack of a medical education. I graduated from the International Institute of Integrative Nutrition. I also studied under a psychiatrist from the leading U.S. Boston Psychiatric Hospital – Mental Health. I received a certificate from the Association of Nutritionists at the British Academy of Dietetics and Nutrition. I have completed numerous courses and obtained many international certificates in nutrition science.

Alongside more than five years of practical experience, I continue to develop and study, participate in professional events, and closely follow current scientific research.

For me, nutrition is not just a favorite occupation — it’s my calling and social mission. I believe I’ve gone through the best possible path to this realization — by overcoming my own challenges.

What kind of problems?

Ten years ago, I had serious health issues that led to weight gain, high blood pressure, and other “bonuses” of extra kilos. To give you an idea — I had to stop twice to catch my breath while walking up to the third floor.

I had never been on a diet — I intuitively understood that they lead to deficiencies of essential nutrients. But something had to be done about my weight. So, I turned to a nutritionist. And during the process of working on my body, I realized that the issue wasn’t about external appearance — it was about inner health.

Within eight months, I lost 20 kilograms. And I felt a deep need to share with others the magic of balanced nutrition — the foundation of a healthy life. I offer families a delicious resource for achieving the health they desire. I give people a menu for both inner and outer beauty — without exhausting workouts, strict diets, or negative emotions.
