The 94th Oscar ceremony will be held on March 27, who exactly will be the host, has not yet been specified
The Academy Awards, which will take place in March, will have a presenter for the first time in three years. This is reported by Variety, citing Hulu Originals and ABC Entertainment President Craig Erwich.
Ervich announced this on January 11 during a virtual press tour of the Television Critics Association. Who exactly will become the host, he did not specify, jokingly: “It could be me.”
The last time the Oscar with the presenter was presented in 2018: then, as in the previous year, the ceremony was conducted by comedian, actor and screenwriter Jimmy Kimmel. In 2019, actor Kevin Hart was supposed to be the host, but he withdrew due to the scandal surrounding his harsh remarks against the LGBT community.
In 2020, the organizers again decided to do without the presenter, this decision was made due to positive feedback, they explained. In 2021, due to the coronavirus, the ceremony was held in a mixed format with a limited number of guests and simultaneously in several places.
The 94th Academy Awards ceremony will take place on March 27th. In December, the Academy announced the shortlisted films, and Oscar nominees in all categories will be announced in February.
