Barcelona cannot agree with their former coach Ronald Koeman on compensation for early termination of the contract, Mundo Deportivo reports on October 31.
According to the source, Barcelona is offering the Dutch specialist 8 million euros. Koeman is not satisfied with this amount. He wants to receive all 12 million, prescribed in the contract. It is also indicated that Barcelona have not yet paid off their other former coach, Kike Setien.
The 58-year-old Dutchman was fired on October 27 after losing to Rayo Vallecano (0:1) in the 11th round of the Spanish championship. Koeman was appointed head coach of Barcelona on 19 August 2020. Under his leadership, the team won the Spanish Cup in the 2020/21 season.
