Andriy Shevchenko becomes the head coach of the Italian “Genoa”

Ukrainian specialist Andriy Shevchenko has been appointed head coach of Italian “Genoa”.

The agreement with the 45-year-old coach is valid until June 30, 2024. Shevchenko replaced Davide Ballardini in this position, who was dismissed on Saturday.

Shevchenko left the post of head coach of the Ukrainian national team in August, which he held since 2016. Under his leadership, the Ukrainian national team reached the quarter finals of the European Championship 2020. Winner of the 2004 Golden Ball Shevchenko ended his playing career in 2012. As a footballer, he played for Dynamo Kiev, Milan Italy and Chelsea London.
