Maria Melnychenko, crowned Miss Ukraine 2024, has revealed the national costume she will wear at the Miss World 2025 pageant in India on May 31. The ensemble, titled “Soul of the Earth. Guardian of Life,” symbolizes the fertility, strength, and resilience of Ukrainian women.
The costume features golden hues, adorned with voluminous embroidery resembling wheat ears and scattered grains, representing the generosity of Ukrainian land. A sheer cape embodies the steppe wind, while the headpiece—a crown made of wheat—reflects the sun and feminine power. This visual manifesto conveys Ukraine’s essence as a source of life, renewal, and hope through symbols of wheat, sun, and wind.
Maria is a fourth-year student at the State Tax University in Irpin, majoring in finance, banking, and insurance. She has a decade of experience in ballroom dancing and enjoys skiing, snowboarding, and tennis. Additionally, Maria actively supports military fundraising and charitable initiatives.
