Anna Lavryk has followed a path thousands of models dream of: from her first steps in modeling to the runways of New York, Paris, and Milan. She believes an international career is built on more than appearance; above all, it requires discipline, continuous self-improvement, and a willingness to learn. In this interview, Anna discusses competition in the world of high fashion, her dream of working with designer Max Alexander, her passion for ballroom dance, and the legacy she hopes to leave in the fashion industry.

Over five years in modeling, you have already opened Fashion Week shows in New York, Paris, and Milan—the very stages thousands of models dream of. Which moment along this journey has been the most defining for you, and how did it change your professional outlook?
I came to understand just how intense the competition is in my field. I realized that I needed to work even harder on myself, continue evolving, and develop a signature style of my own—something distinctive enough to capture the attention of the people shaping fashion today.
The world of high fashion demands discipline, resilience, and the ability to adapt quickly. Which qualities do you believe helped you reach international runways and establish yourself in such a competitive industry?
Discipline has always come first for me. It is equally important not to let criticism from competitors affect you, to remain confident in yourself, and to keep moving forward.
Today, you dream of working with leading global fashion brands. If you had the opportunity tomorrow to choose just one brand with which to create a shared story, which would you choose, and why?
I would love to work with Max Alexander, an American designer who creates extraordinary dresses using sustainable fabrics at such a young age. I am deeply drawn to his style, creative vision, and the way he combines beauty with a responsible approach to fashion.
Alongside your successful modeling career, you also plan to pursue ballroom dance. What draws you to this art form, and how do you think dance can complement your work as a model?
Oh, absolutely! To me, ballroom dance means far more than beautiful movement. It is an art form that brings together discipline, emotion, elegance, and the ability to tell a story without words.
I believe dance complements a modeling career beautifully. It helps you develop a stronger awareness of your body, refine your movement and posture, and build confidence. It also teaches you to convey the mood and character of clothing through movement. That is essential for a model, since every photo shoot or runway appearance is a kind of performance.
I see pursuing ballroom dance as an opportunity to become an even more multifaceted person while continuing my modeling career. I love learning, discovering new sides of myself, and I believe the art of dance will make me stronger as both a model and a person.

Behind the scenes at fashion shows, audiences see only a few minutes of a flawless runway presentation, although those moments require hours of preparation and extensive teamwork. Which aspect of the profession do you believe most often goes unnoticed by the wider public?
Most people never see how much discipline, patience, and teamwork go into every show. The emotional demands of modeling are also often underestimated. You need to adapt quickly to different conditions, work at an intense pace, remain professional even in stressful situations, and still project confidence and ease.
I always say that a successful show is the result of seamless collaboration among designers, stylists, makeup artists, show directors, and models. That teamwork creates the magic audiences see on the runway.
If, ten years from now, you were asked to write a single sentence that best described Anna Lavryk’s journey through the worlds of fashion and creativity, what would you want it to say?
Ten years from now, I would want my journey to be associated with my achievements in fashion and with what I have left behind: inspiration for others, the courage to grow, and belief in their own potential.
For me, being part of the industry means continuing to grow, discovering new sides of myself, and showing that true beauty is a combination of outward appearance, character, and inner depth.
