The Ministry of Health calculated how many doses of vaccines are needed for a safe winter

In Germany, more than 61% of residents are fully vaccinated against coronavirus infection. This was announced on Saturday, September 4, by Health Minister Jens Spahn on his Twitter page.

To date, more than 54 million people (65.7%) have received at least one dose of the vaccine. At the same time, almost 51 million people (61.2%) requested a full course of vaccination.

According to the politician, in order to safely pass the autumn-winter season, it is necessary to have time to get less than 5 million vaccinations.

On the last day of summer, the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, announced that the European Union had achieved its earlier goal of vaccinated 70% of the population by the end of the summer.
