Prince Andrew was able to settle a sexual assault case brought against him in the United States based on a lawsuit filed by Virginia Giuffre. This is reported by BBC Russian Service with reference to court documents. So, in the document submitted to the American court, it is noted that Andrew and Giuffre managed to reach an out-of-court agreement.
Recall that in August 2021, American Virginia Giuffre sued Prince Andrew, accusing him of sexualized violence. According to her testimony, he had sexual intercourse with her three times without her consent in 2001 – she was only seventeen years old. As proof, she also provided a photo of them together. The prince’s lawyers stated that, on the basis of the deal he had concluded with Giuffre, the case could not be considered in court, nevertheless, the court insisted on a trial – against the backdrop of the trial, Elizabeth II deprived the prince of his title and military ranks.
