Ukrainian TV host Lesia Nikitiuk shared joyful news about an important family event — she and her husband, serviceman Dmytro Babchuk, baptized their four-month-old son. The ceremony took place at St. Michael’s Golden-Domed Cathedral in Kyiv.
“Recently, our family celebrated a bright holiday. We baptized our son. We were really preparing for this family event because, for me, it’s a great sacrament and a big responsibility,” Lesia wrote on her Instagram page.

The couple also revealed their son’s name for the first time — the boy was named Oskar. Dmytro explained that in his family, for generations, men had been given only two names — Mykhailo and Dmytro. This time, he decided to break the tradition:
“My great-grandfather was Mykhailo, my grandfather was Dmytro, my father is Mykhailo, and I am Dmytro. So I named my son Oskar. Please welcome the honorable little Cossack — Babchuk Oskar Dmytrovych,” he wrote.
Lesia also mentioned that during the baptism, the boy was given another name, known only to the parents and godparents — as a special family secret and symbol.

For the ceremony, Nikitiuk chose an elegant floor-length satin gown with a cape by the Ukrainian brand Gasanova, completing her look with a delicate shawl. Dmytro wore a gray suit paired with a black T-shirt, adding a modern touch to the occasion.
The celebration took place in a warm and bright atmosphere. Despite forecasts of rain, the day turned out sunny — as Lesia noted, “it was a perfectly radiant day.”

It’s worth recalling that Lesia Nikitiuk gave birth to her first child on June 15, 2025. She kept her pregnancy private until the very end, and only now — together with the baptism — has she revealed the baby’s name and details of this heartfelt family moment.
