Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and her husband Prince Daniel have posted a rare official statement on Instagram in an attempt to refute rumors of her husband’s infidelity and impending divorce.
“IT HAS COME TO OUR ATTENTION THAT NEGATIVE RUMORS ABOUT OUR PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS ARE WIDESPREAD IN SOCIETY. ALLEGATIONS OF A BETRAYAL OF A SPOUSE AND AN IMPENDING DIVORCE ARE MADE EVERYWHERE. USUALLY WE DO NOT COMMENT ON ANY SPECULATION. BUT IN ORDER TO PROTECT OUR FAMILY FROM LIES, WE WANT TO MAKE IT CLEAR ONCE AND FOR ALL THAT THE RUMORS THAT ARE NOW BEING SPREAD ARE COMPLETELY UNSUBSTANTIATED.”
Thus, the Swedish monarchs emphasized that love and trust still reign in their union.
Most of the royal couple’s subscribers supported the monarchs and stressed that they do not believe in these speculations and even urge the couple to sue some Swedish media that publish false and very personal information.
