Wait! Korean director Hwang Dong Hyuk has officially announced that he has begun writing a sequel to the hit TV series Squid Game.
“There were so many expectations, so many requests and love. I almost feel like I was left with no choice. I will say this: there will be a second season. Right now it is ripening in my head, I am in the process of plotting. True, it is too early to say when the season will be released,” the director told the Associated Press.
Named after the traditional Korean children’s game, Squid Game is a nine-episode drama in which 456 participants compete in deadly children’s games to win a prize pool of 45.6 billion won.
