Acclaimed director, Oscar nominee and Palme d’Or winner Lars von Trier suffers from Parkinson’s disease.
The Danish film company Zentropa confirmed this information and clarified that 66-year-old Trier “is in a good mood and is being treated for symptoms of the disease.” Due to the diagnosed illness and work on the third season of Kingdom, the director will be doing very few interviews until the end of the premiere, which is due at the end of the year.
