Former US President Donald Trump has accused incumbent President Joe Biden of trying to bring the United States to socialism through an infrastructure bill.
“If the Democratic plan is approved at any level, it will push our country towards socialism,” Trump said in a statement released on Sunday, October 3.
On March 31, Biden proposed a comprehensive infrastructure modernization plan, which is currently being negotiated. On August 10, the document was approved by the Senate of the US Congress, after which it was submitted to the House of Representatives. A new $3.5 trillion reform package has already caused divisions in the government, including among members of the Democratic Party, which the president represents.
