Former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has died in hospital from injuries sustained in an assassination attempt in the city of Nara. It is reported by Kyodo. Abe was shot in the chest and neck with two shots while speaking in support of the Liberal Democratic Party in elections for the upper house of parliament this Sunday.
