Alina Grosu Welcomes Her First Child — and Releases a Lullaby for Her Son

Alina Grosu has announced the birth of her first child, a son, and nearly simultaneously shared a new piece of music. “Kolyoskova” (“Lullaby”), written during her pregnancy, was recorded just days before the delivery, becoming an emotional extension of this deeply personal moment.

Now based in the United States, the artist made a deliberate decision to give birth in Ukraine. For Grosu, it was essential that one of the most defining experiences of her life unfold on her native ground.

The birth itself went beyond initial expectations. Doctors had estimated the baby’s weight at around 3.5 kilograms, but he arrived weighing nearly 4.7 kg. Grosu speaks candidly about her postpartum condition, while emphasizing what matters most: her son is healthy, calm, and adjusting quickly to the world.

Notably, the baby’s composure even surprised the singer. Because he rarely cries, she consulted doctors, only to be reassured that this is entirely normal for a calm baby.

In these first days of motherhood, Grosu is fully immersed in caring for her son. He has a strong appetite, responds well to both parents, and is already shaping a quiet, intimate rhythm within the family. According to the singer, the experience has redefined her understanding of love, making it deeper and more precise than she had ever imagined.

Released alongside the announcement, “Kolyoskova” feels like a gentle reflection of this new state — restrained in tone, intimate in delivery, and deeply personal, capturing a moment where life and music converge.
