Ahead of the Summer Olympics, adidas’ revenue rose 55% to €5.08 billion.
Adidas revenues are projected to increase by 20% in 2021. The company said that sales in Latin America almost tripled, in Europe and Africa by 99%. But on the territory of the PRC, revenue fell by 16%. According to Adidas CEO Kasper Rorsted, this growth in profits is due to the increased interest in sports amid the Tokyo Olympics and the start of the football season in Europe.
Going forward, adidas plans to ditch the Reebok brand and expand the ZX franchise with the introduction of the new ZX 5K Boost model.
