“Borovyter” Lands in London: Ukrainian Mosaic Reborn in the Heart of Europe

A powerful symbol of resilience and cultural identity has appeared in Trafalgar Square. The legendary Ukrainian mosaic “Borovyter”, originally created in 1967 by artist Alla Horska and her team, has been faithfully recreated and unveiled in London.

The original piece was damaged during the Russian invasion in 2022. Thanks to ROZETKA, UKRAINE WOW, and the Alla Horska Foundation, the artwork has been brought back to life with stunning accuracy.

The London unveiling was organized by the Oleksandr Usyk Foundation and British-Ukrainian Aid. Usyk, accompanied by Sir Richard Branson, addressed the audience and called for support of a campaign that raises funds to build homes for 64 Ukrainian families.

“We will rebuild Ukraine — like a mosaic, piece by piece. Borovyter is a symbol of that strength and hope,” Usyk said.
