The Wirtshauswiesn Beer Festival will run until November 3, and special online tours have been created for those who cannot come to Munich.
Around fifty German restaurants are taking part in the event called Wirtshauswiesn, a quarantine initiative celebrating the world famous Oktoberfest beer festival.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Munich Oktoberfest itself has not passed for the second year, in connection with which they decided to decorate Munich pubs and beer restaurants in the style of tents that were previously installed on the Theresienwiese during the traditional festival.
The Mayor of Munich expressed the hope that next year Oktoberfest will take place at the traditional site and will attract thousands of tourists.
