Tanu Muino Directs New Apple Campaign for iPhone 18 Pro

In the Night Moves campaign film, the Ukrainian director blends dance, light, and cinematic aesthetics to showcase the smartphone camera’s nighttime capabilities.

Ukrainian director Tanu Muino has directed Apple’s new advertising campaign for the iPhone 18 Pro. Titled Night Moves, the film was shot entirely on the iPhone 18 Pro, highlighting the camera’s performance in low-light conditions.

At the heart of the film are a city after dark, the fluidity of human movement, and light that continually transforms the space around its subjects. Dynamic choreography reveals how the iPhone 18 Pro camera captures motion, detail, and vivid color after sunset. The filmmaking process also becomes part of the frame, transforming a technology showcase into a fully realized fashion film.

Muino brought a Ukrainian team on board for the campaign. Cinematographer Mykyta Kuzmenko, a frequent collaborator on her music videos and commercial projects, served as director of photography. Ukrainian dancer Kateryna Bysheva also appears in the film. The campaign is set to DANCE… by American singer Slayyyter.

Tanu Muino is a Ukrainian director of Cuban heritage whose distinctive visual language brings together surreal imagery, fashion, and expressive choreography. Her portfolio includes work for Harry Styles, Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd, Cardi B, Lil Nas X, and Jung Kook.

Among Muino’s latest high-profile projects is BTS’ music video for NORMAL, a track from the album ARIRANG. The record debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, while the NORMAL video first premiered on Spotify, where it set a new platform record.
