Madonna will shoot a biopic about herself: who will play the role of a pop diva?

Not so long ago it became known that a biopic about the queen of the pop scene, Madonna, is in the development of Universal Pictures.  The star will control the entire process of writing the script, filming and editing.

“It was a preemptive shot, because a lot of people have already tried to make a film about me.  Most of them were misogynists.  So I opened the door with my feet and said: “No one will tell my story but me,” said Madonna.

The lead role will be played by actress Julia Garner, best known for her role in the series Inventing Anna.  Florence Pugh, Alexa Demi, Sidney Sweeney, Baby Rex were also considered for the role.

The film will premiere in 2023.
