Representatives of the television network HBO said that the premiere of the second season of “Euphoria” attracted 2.4 million viewers. The company noted that the opening screenings of the second season of the series scored nine times more views than the premiere of the first season in 2019.
The Euphoria series was created by Sam Levinson specifically for HBO, based on the Israeli mini-series of the same name. The first season of the series aired in June 2019.
WarnerMedia (which includes HBO) launched HBO Max in May 2020. Due to the novel coronavirus pandemic in late 2020, the company began screening its major films on the streaming service at the same time as its theatrical release.
