French President Macron: the situation does not allow talking about participation in the elections in 2022
Macron said if he plans to run for a second term in the election of the leader of the country. He stressed that the current circumstances do not allow him to think about it.
“Now I am not in a situation to talk about elections,” the French president stressed.
The leader of the republic added that if he had already announced his candidacy in the upcoming elections, “it would be difficult to make the necessary decisions, in particular to combat the new wave of the coronavirus pandemic.”
The presidential elections in France will be held in two rounds. They are slated for April 10 and 24, 2022.
