Miley Cyrus is being sued for using her paparazzi photo. Photographer Robert Barbera discovered a photo of the singer, taken by himself, on her social networks last year. It is reported by Bloomberg Law.
The photographer claims that Cyrus violates copyright: the singer did not ask permission to publish the frame and did not officially buy it. In this regard, Barbera decided to sue Miley. The documents say that, according to the photographer, the singer benefited financially from the publication of his copyright infringing picture, which also increased traffic on her account and income from music sales.
He states that “inappropriate use of photography has undermined, if not destroyed, the potential for selling pictures.” Robert Barbera is seeking damages.
